How Do I Become A State Police Trooper?
1. Obtain a Cadet Application form.
In Baton Rouge, you can pick up an application between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. at our office at 7901 Independence Blvd -Building A, Baton Rouge, Louisiana 70806; located near the State Police Training Academy. Telephone: 225-925-4996

2. Complete The Application
Be sure to carefully read the instructions provided before completing the application form and then provide as much detail as possible when filling out the application. This helps us avoid having to send it back to you for more information.

3. Submit The Application
Once you've completed the application, submit it to us either by mail or in person at the State Police Commission office between the hours of 8:00 a.m and 4:30 p.m.
