In Re: Election of Employee Member of the State Police Commission
The term of the employee member of the State Police Commission will expire at midnight, December 31, 2002, and an election to fill this position will be conducted beginning November 4, 2002. In order to allow members of the State Police service to prepare for this election, the State Police Commission has provided the calendar of events as attached.
SCHEDULE FOR ELECTION OF CLASSIFIED EMPLOYEE
MEMBER OF THE STATE POLICE COMMISSION
| November 4, 2002 | Election Call issued by Director of the State Police Commission |
| November 13, 2002 | Deadline for filing nominating petitions with Director |
| November 19, 2002 | Voting materials delivered to the appointing authority |
| November 20, 2002 | Appointing authority distributes voting materials |
| December 3, 2002 | Deadline for ballots to be returned to the Director |
| December 4, 2002 | Counting of ballots |
| December 5, 2002 | Director makes report to State Police Commission and Secretary of State of results |
| December 6, 2002 | Secretary of State promulgates results and notifies elected member (unless a run-off election is required) |

| December 10, 2002 | Appointing authority distributes voting materials |
| December 18, 2002 | Deadline for ballots to be returned to the Director |
